JAMSHEDPUR – A comprehensive review of health and social welfare schemes was conducted at District Collectorate Auditorium, focusing on improving services for pregnant women, children, and rural communities.

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar chaired the meeting, acting on instructions from District Magistrate Ananya Mittal.

The review covered various schemes including the Chief Minister’s Health Support Scheme and the Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Scheme.

Kumar stressed the importance of extending health services to remote rural areas to reduce financial burdens on citizens.

Instructions were given to purchase infantometers for all hospitals and ensure 100% registration of pregnant women for various health screenings.

The meeting addressed the need to increase institutional delivery rates in identified low-performance areas.

Officials expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of schemes like the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana and PM Matru Vandana Yojana.

Plans were outlined to fill 34 vacant Anganwadi worker posts and 36 assistant positions within the next 15 days through Gram Sabha appointments.
