Former CM’s Wife Reviews Development Projects in Constituency
Newly elected representative meets officials and constituents during Giridih tour.
GIRIDIH – Kalpana Murmu Soren, wife of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and newly elected MLA from Gandey, made her inaugural visit to the constituency after winning the recent by-election.
Soren received a warm welcome from party workers upon her arrival in Giridih.
"My priority is to understand and address the needs of Gandey’s residents," Soren stated during her visit.
She held a meeting with local officials at the new council building to review ongoing development projects.
Giridih MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu and Rajya Sabha MP Sarfaraz Ahmed attended the meeting, along with key administrative officials.
Soren provided guidelines to officials regarding the implementation of various development initiatives.
Following the official meeting, she interacted with constituents, listening to their concerns and issues.
Kalpana Soren won the Gandey by-election, defeating BJP’s Dilip Verma for the seat vacated by Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Her entry into politics came in the wake of former CM Hemant Soren’s arrest, marking a new chapter in Jharkhand’s political landscape.
The visit underscores Soren’s commitment to engaging with her constituency and local administration.
Political analysts view this as a significant step in establishing her presence in Jharkhand’s political arena.
