Enthusiastic Voter Turnout in Jamshedpur Despite EVM Glitches

Technical Issues Cause Brief Delays in Voting at Multiple Booths in Jamshedpur

Voters in Jamshedpur showed high enthusiasm as they lined up early to cast their votes despite some technical issues.

JAMSHEDPUR – Voting for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat began at 7 am and will continue until 5 pm.

Voters displayed great enthusiasm, particularly among first-time voters.

Queues of people formed in both rural and urban areas even before the polling stations opened.

The administration quickly addressed a fault in the EVM machine at booth number 303 in the Jamshedpur West assembly constituency.

Voting resumed after a 40-minute disruption following the replacement of the EVMs.

Similarly, at booth number 172 in the Jugsalai assembly constituency, the EVM failed at the start of the day, causing an hour-long delay.

Voting recommenced once the EVM was replaced.

St. John’s School in Jugsalai had eight voting centers where issues were reported.

A woman fainted at booth number 166 due to the heat, highlighting the lack of water, fans, or wheelchairs.

Voters faced difficulties due to these inadequate provisions.

The high turnout has shown the voters‘ commitment despite these challenges.

Efforts to improve the infrastructure and address such issues are expected in future elections.

The administration’s quick response in replacing faulty EVMs was appreciated by many.
