Deputy Development Commissioner Reviews Health Services and Filariasis Campaign
Following directives, Deputy Development Commissioner inspects Baliguma UPHC to assess sanitation and filariasis campaign.
JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, following Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal’s orders, conducted an inspection at Baliguma UPHC.
The visit aimed to assess the existing sanitation system and gather information on the filariasis eradication campaign.
Kumar meticulously evaluated health facilities, patient care, and overall operations.
He noted the availability of medicines, medical staff presence, and quality of care.
The focus also included the progress of the filariasis eradication campaign.
Kumar directed to ensure 100% consumption of medicine among the missing people in the area.
He commended the UPHC’s cleanliness and hygiene practices, emphasizing the need to sustain high standards.
The inspection aligns with the Mass Drug Administration program from February 10 to February 25.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi reported over 50 individuals receive medication daily at the center.
More than 15 missing individuals, including the Commissioner’s bodyguard, were administered medication during the campaign.
Kumar stressed the importance of widespread medicine consumption to control diseases like elephantiasis.
Present were Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi, medical staff, Sahiya, NULM representatives, and other stakeholders.
The visit signifies a commitment to ensuring the highest healthcare and sanitation standards, aligning with district public health objectives.
