Chaibasa’s Senior Lawyer Prashant Ghosh Passes Away

West Singhbhum legal community mourns the loss of esteemed advocate Prashant Kumar Ghosh

Prashant Kumar Ghosh, a distinguished senior advocate of West Singhbhum Chaibasa’s District Bar Association, passed away suddenly at his residence.

CHAIBASA – The legal fraternity is in mourning following the sudden demise of Prashant Kumar Ghosh, a seasoned advocate known for his expertise in civil, criminal, and revenue law.

His death occurred early Monday at his Sen Tola home.

Ghosh, renowned for his affable, unassuming nature, was a pillar of the District Bar Association for over five decades.

Starting his legal career on March 13, 1969, he dedicated 56 years to the legal profession, contributing significantly to the District Bar Association of Chaibasa, West Singhbhum.

His passing is felt deeply within the community as a profound loss, described by the District Bar Association President, Rameshwar Prasad, during a condolence meeting.

The meeting saw attendance from numerous legal professionals including Vice President K Kaiser Parvez, General Secretary Father Augustine Kullu, and others, reflecting the high regard in which Ghosh was held.

Prominent members of the legal community, such as Joint Secretary Vivek Sharma and Treasurer Duryodhan Gope, alongside a broad representation of advocates, paid their respects.

The gathering underscored the collective grief and respect for Ghosh, whose life and work left an indelible mark on the legal landscape of West Singhbhum.
