Massive Support for Punjab’s Farmers at Sakchi Birsa Chowk
Kisan Andolan Ek Juta Manch mobilizes Jamshedpur in a strong show of support for Punjab farmers.
JAMSHEDPUR – A significant demonstration was staged at Sakchi Birsa Chowk by Kisan Andolan Ek Juta Manch, rallying support for the farmers’ cause in Punjab.
Sardar Bhagwan Singh, the forum’s president, expressed his dismay at the treatment of unarmed farmers in Punjab, highlighting the severe measures like drone surveillance and road spikes, unusual even at international borders.
He criticized the Modi government for not fulfilling its promises to the farming community, leading to peaceful protests in Delhi for their rights.
The government’s violent response to these protests was condemned as a grave injustice.
The forum vowed to continue protests and demonstrations in Jamshedpur in solidarity with the farmers.
Participants in the rally included Bhagwan Singh, Sumit Rai, Jaswant Singh, Gurcharan Singh Manthan, Sujay Rai, Heera Singh, Vishwajit Dev, Deepak Ranjit, and others, showing a united front for the farmers’ rights.
