Jamshedpur: Tarapore School Controversy Resolved, FIR to Be Withdrawn

Agrico Tarapore School and Religious Groups Reach Agreement in Jamshedpur

Dispute at Jamshedpur’s Agrico Tarapore School over religious tilak ends with mutual understanding and withdrawal of FIR.

JAMSHEDPUR – The recent controversy at Agrico Tarapore School in Jamshedpur, involving the expulsion of students for wearing religious tilak, has been amicably resolved.

Following a meeting between the school management and religious group leaders, both parties reached a mutual agreement.

Representatives from Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and BJM participated in the resolution talks.

School management members Arun Karan, Tina Bodhanwala, and Ravi Kumar Dubey engaged in constructive dialogue with the religious representatives.

The dispute, which started over the exclusion of students and a minority teacher’s actions on the school’s mobile app, led to a protest by Jantantra Morcha.

The school had initially responded by filing a complaint and an FIR against VHP and BJM workers at the local police station.

VHP’s M Sai Padmaja, Vivek Singh, BJM’s Manoj Singh Ujjain, and Dharmendra Prasad played pivotal roles in the talks.

The resolution focuses on the all-round development of children, considering societal and religious interests.

Both parties agreed to work towards educational policy and social harmony, involving teachers and parents in building an advanced society and school.

The school management, as a part of the agreement, decided to withdraw the FIR lodged against BJM leaders at the Sitaramdera police station.
