CBSE Revokes 17 Jharkhand Schools’ Recognition

Jharkhand School Recognition Cancelled by CBSE for Non-Compliance

Jharkhand faces a significant educational upheaval as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) withdraws recognition from 17 schools for failing to comply with its bylaws and infrastructural standards.

RANCHI – In a major educational setback, Jharkhand has witnessed the revocation of CBSE recognition from 17 schools, primarily due to their failure to adhere to the required standards set by the board.

The CBSE’s stringent decision highlights infrastructural shortcomings and educational quality concerns.

Schools in the Bokaro district were the hardest hit, with nine institutions losing their recognition.

Ranchi, the state’s capital, also experienced a significant impact, with two schools facing the same fate.

Among the notable schools affected are Kendriya Vidyalaya in Dakra and DAV International School in Mesra, both located in Ranchi.

The list of affected schools extends to Hazaribagh’s Kendriya Vidyalaya and several institutions in Dhanbad, including Spring Valley School and Nand Gokulam.

Model English High School in Dhanbad and Ramakrishna Mission School in East Singhbhum also find themselves on this list.

Modern Public School in Deoghar and a series of Bokaro Ispat Vidyalayas and Bokaro Steel Schools across various sectors in Bokaro have been similarly impacted.

The official CBSE website provides a complete list of these schools, and parents are advised to exercise caution and avoid enrolling their children in these institutions.

The reasons for this drastic measure span from insufficient infrastructure and inadequate facilities like labs and libraries to substandard educational quality and insufficient extracurricular activity options.
