BAHARAGORA – Police arrested a man carrying over 20 kilograms of ganja at Bahragora bus stand following a tip-off about contraband arriving from Kharagpur.
Bahragora police received secret information around 11:00 AM on November 8. The tip indicated suspicious activity at the bus stand. A man was arriving with narcotics, sources said.
Circle Officer Bahragora led the raiding team. A case was registered at Bahragora police station. The operation was launched immediately after verification.
Police spotted a man carrying a sack. He became nervous upon seeing officers. However, he attempted to flee the scene.

Police also recovered a brown wallet. It contained Rs 540 in cash. Furthermore, all items were confiscated following legal procedures.
The accused was identified as Dipender Somani. He was formally arrested at the scene. On the other hand, interrogation revealed crucial information.
Somani disclosed details about the supply chain. He obtained the ganja from Divakar Dube in Kharagpur. The contraband was destined for Sunil in Ghatshila.
The accused planned to deliver the entire consignment. He was using the bus stand as handover point. Meanwhile, police are investigating the broader network.
