Jharkhand’s 3 Rising Cricket Stars Shine in IPL Auction

Gumla’s Robin Minz and Ranchi’s Sushant Mishra Join Gujarat Titans; Bokaro’s Kumar Kushagra Picked by Delhi Capitals

In a remarkable display of talent, Jharkhand’s young cricketers make significant strides in the latest IPL auction, joining prestigious teams.

JAMSHEDPUR – Gumla’s Robin Minz was selected by Gujarat Titans in the IPL auction.

After trials with Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans bought Robin for Rs 3 crore 60 lakh.

Robin, an explosive batsman and wicketkeeper, had earlier been called by Delhi but did not join the team.

His father, a retired military man, and mother, a housewife, have supported his cricket journey.

Robin has been a standout player in the Gumla District Cricket Team for six years.

Jitendra Kumar Singh and Manoj Kumar Choudhary, from the Gumla District Cricket Association, praised Robin’s innate talent.

He has scored two centuries back to back in Deoghar and has shown consistent performance in recent years.

Ranchi’s Sushant Mishra was also selected by Gujarat Titans.

The 22-year-old left-arm pacer was bought for Rs 2.20 crores after a bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.

Mishra has an impressive track record with 42 wickets in various formats.

Bokaro’s Kumar Kushagra caught the attention of several teams, ultimately joining Delhi Capitals for Rs. 7.2 crore.

Delhi Capitals secured Kushagra after outbidding Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.

The 19-year-old wicket-keeper batter was the sixth-highest run-getter in the Deodhar Trophy.

He made a significant impact in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and was part of India’s Under-19 World Cup squad in 2020.

Kushagra scored a double hundred against Nagaland in the Ranji Trophy pre-quarterfinal at age 17, making him the youngest to score 250 or more in a first-class innings.
