Indian Food Culture Emphasized at Jharkhand Mahila Grahak Panchayat

Explore the importance of Indian food culture and its impact on family values and health, as highlighted at the Grahak Panchayat Women’s Wing meeting in Jharkhand.

JAMSHEDPUR -State Secretary Dr. Kalyani Kabir not only conducted the meeting of the Mahila Dimension of All India Grahak Panchayat Jharkhand Province but also delivered the vote of thanks.

She highlighted the significance of embracing Indian food traditions, emphasizing their alignment with the climate and scientifically proven benefits.

The event, held at Vice President Krishna Sinha’s Sonari residence, was a platform for discussing the influence of food on family values and health.

Ravi Prakash Singh, head of the Law Dimension, urged women to lead by example in adopting Indian food traditions to inspire their families.

In her address, Reena emphasized the positive impact of Indian cuisine on mental and physical health, contrasting it with the adverse effects of Western food.

Social worker Sushmita discussed the integration of Surya Namaskar and Yoga meditation into children’s lives, reducing the need for gyms and tackling obesity issues.

Ruby Lal’s remarks focused on how encouraging children to embrace Indian culture naturally leads to an appreciation of Indian food culture.

Dr. Anita Sharma, during the symposium, pointed out that the global adoption of Indian food during the Covid pandemic highlights its quality and suitability for India’s climate.

Sarita Singh, Head of Women’s Dimension, opened the meeting with a welcome address, advocating for the adoption of Indian food due to its numerous health benefits.

The meeting commenced with Dolly Parihar from the publicity group singing the Patrakar song, followed by offerings to Maa Bharti and a lamp lighting ceremony.

Krishna Sinha, the East Singhbhum Vice President, emphasized the importance of women nurturing satvik food habits within their families.
