Jamshedpur SSP Leads Crime Review, Sets New Directives

Jamshedpur Police Intensify Efforts for Public Safety and Order

Senior Superintendent of Police of Jamshedpur conducted a comprehensive crime review meeting, setting forth several new measures to enhance public safety and streamline police procedures.

JAMSHEDPUR -The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Jamshedpur held a monthly crime review meeting with key police officials, including the Superintendent of Police, City, and all station and branch in-charges.

The SSP instructed the dissemination of awareness on two-wheeler theft prevention using various methods like placards, pamphlets, and hoardings.

Officials were directed to promote the use of double locks on motorcycles and proper parking habits among the public.

A significant emphasis was placed on expediting passport verification processes, mandating completion within five days without unnecessary harassment of applicants.

The meeting focused on strict action against individuals involved in arms-related crimes or extortion, with monitoring proposals required for those with two or more cases.

In the fight against the land mafia, no leniency will be shown, and proposals for preventive actions are to be submitted by the Deputy Superintendents of Police.

The police were instructed to respond within 30 minutes to complaints received via the Emergency Response Support System 112.

As part of the Road Safety Programme, the police will reassess existing black spots and identify new ones to reduce accidents, alongside organizing traffic rule awareness programs in rural areas.

With the New Year approaching, police station areas, especially picnic spots, are to be closely monitored, including the implementation of safety measures around deep water reservoirs and the prohibition of public alcohol consumption and loud sound systems.

These directives are part of a larger effort to enhance law enforcement efficiency and public safety in Jamshedpur.
