JAMSHEDPUR – A seminar was held Wednesday at Ganga Regency Sakchi on the epic ‘Krishnayana’, part of the international platform Sahityodaya.

The event commenced with Saraswati Vandana, melodiously presented by Reena Sinha, followed by a welcome speech by President Padma Prasad.

Nivedita Srivastava gracefully conducted the program, focusing on the upcoming Krishnayana epic event in Vrindavan, which will see participation from hundreds of litterateurs nationwide.

The Krishnayana Sahityosav, scheduled for 1-2 December at Vatsalya Gram, is set to be a congregation of creators from across the country.

This ‘Mahakumbh’ of writers in Vrindavan from 1st to 3rd December will feature the Shri Banke Bihari International Literary Festival ‘Krishnayan’, inaugurated by Didi Maa Sadhvi Ritambhara and presided over by former Rajya Sabha MP RK Sinha.

Pankaj Priyam, founder president of Sahityodaya, will coordinate the event, and Buddhinath Mishra will be the welcome guest.

The festival will open with the release of ‘Krishnayan’ among other books, followed by a marathon 11-hour session of poetry recitals by about 150 poets from India and abroad.

The evening will showcase dance, music, and poetry recitations by renowned artists like Dr. Vishnu Shaksena and Dr. Som Thakur.

A workshop on the upliftment of Hindi and Sanatan literary culture will be held on the second day, honoring all participating creators.

On the final day, writers will tour Brajbhoomi, celebrating the joint epic book ‘Krishnayana’, which captures the life of Radha and Krishna and is set to be included in the London Book and World Greatest Record.

Pankaj Priyam shared the challenges of compiling and editing the epic, reflecting the extensive research and effort involved in this monumental work.

‘Krishnayana’ is divided into 18 parts, spanning two volumes with 178 episodes, and is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of about 200 creators from India and abroad.

About 15 litterateurs from Jamshedpur, including Padma Prasad Vindeshwar, Dr. Jha, and Smriti Pandey Chaubey, are privileged to participate in this grand literary event.
