On the 24th day of the ongoing conflict, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu emphasizes the need for international support to combat Hamas, underlining the critical situation in Gaza and Israel.
DESK – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on the 24th day of the ongoing conflict, made an emphatic appeal for international assistance in Israel’s military efforts against Hamas in Gaza.
Netanyahu warned that without external support, both Israel and the West stand to lose significantly.
According to Netanyahu, Israel’s objective is the systematic destruction of Hamas’s military and political capacities.
The Prime Minister stated that Israel is fighting “a war for its survival” and a strong diplomatic endeavor is vital to ensure Israel receives the backing it needs for what promises to be an extended struggle.
He reiterated his stance in a cabinet meeting, detailing the horror since Hamas entered Israel from the Mediterranean on October 7, resulting in the killing of 1,400 people and the taking of 239 hostages.
The Israeli Prime Minister warned that should the “axis of evil” triumph, the entire free world would face a monumental challenge, bringing losses to the West and the whole Arab world.
He urged the global community to recognize the gravity of the situation, as he sees increasing calls for a ceasefire and even a humanitarian halt, particularly from the United States, which has consistently supported Israel’s military operations.
In a parallel development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is engaged in thwarting Hezbollah’s attempts to open a second front from Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
Netanyahu issued a stern warning against any entity contemplating conflict with Israel alongside Hezbollah, stating that they would “take a hit that you can’t even fathom.”
