Chaibasa witnesses the unveiling of the Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2023, with officials emphasizing the event’s significance for fostering local sports talent.
CHAIBASA – The coveted trophy for the Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2023 arrived in Chaibasa today, making its journey through various districts of Jharkhand.
The trophy was formally unveiled by Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar, Trainee IAS Ms. Shruti Rajalakshmi, and District Sports Officer Mrs. Rupa Rani Tirkey.
Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal expressed immense pride in the fact that this year’s championship is being hosted in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
He mentioned that the purpose of bringing the trophy to Chaibasa is to motivate local players to achieve similar feats in the future.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar echoed the sentiment, stating that the trophy’s presence in Chaibasa is a matter of great pride and an inspiration for all.
It was highlighted that many players from the district have been performing exceptionally well at both national and international levels, and they are expected to bring further glory to the state and the nation.
