In a Pre-Durga Puja Boost, 33 Patients Discharged; Zero New Dengue Cases Reported in Jamshedpur
As Durga Puja approaches, Jamshedpur reports zero new dengue cases on Friday and 33 recoveries. A significant respite for residents and healthcare facilities.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant development that comes just ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations, the district of Jamshedpur has reported zero new dengue cases today.
Additionally, 33 patients have recovered from the disease and were subsequently discharged from hospitals.
The latest data released by the district administration indicates that not a single person tested positive for dengue in the samples collected on October 13.
Out of 10,325 samples tested so far, 1,291 people from the Kolhan division have been found to be dengue positive.
At present, 174 individuals are still receiving treatment for dengue; eight of these are in the Intensive Care Unit, while the remaining 166 are in regular wards.
Today’s development is a welcome change as the district has been grappling with a dengue outbreak for the past few weeks, leading to overcrowded hospitals and nursing homes.
To combat the spread of dengue, the district administration has been actively cautioning residents to take preventative measures against conditions that may breed mosquitoes.
