Nine schools compete in Rotary Club Jamshedpur East’s interschool debate on the subject of teenage change, with Hill Top School taking the top prize.
JAMSHEDPUR – The interschool debate competition’s winners received congratulations following the successful event sponsored by Rotary Club Jamshedpur East at the Golmuri Club, focusing on the topic "I am a teenager, I have changed, am I different?".
Director Sushma Pandey highlighted how these contests allowed students to engage in constructive debate and enhance their critical thinking abilities, reflecting the importance of interschool debate tournaments.
President Prema Gogna emphasized that the debates "provide pupils a wonderful platform to demonstrate their debating talents and increase their knowledge on a variety of themes."
The event’s organizers included the club’s president, Prema Gogna, and director Sushma Pandey, along with Rotarians Manish Jain, Tamali, and Anita Paul.
Rtn Kunal Kar was responsible for providing the awards and refreshments to the participants.
The runners-up speakers were Taruna Sudarshan from Little Flower School and Saumya Sinha from Hill Top School, while the best orators for and against the motion were Adarsh Kumar from SDSM School and Sunetra Laru from Hill Top School.
Finally, Little Flower School achieved the runner-up spot, with Hill Top School earning the victory.
