Lohardaga police apprehended two Naxalites involved in levy collection for the Jharkhand Presentation Committee (JPC), ensuring justice and safety in the district.
LOHARDAGA – Lohardaga police have arrested and jailed two Naxalites involved in levy collection for the Jharkhand Presentation Committee (JPC).
On July 9, pamphlets demanding a levy of ten lakhs were found at the main gate of the under-construction Eklavya Model School.
These pamphlets, supposedly from a figure named Abhimanyu Ji, led to the registration of an FIR, prompting the police to form a team and carry out a successful raid.
The raid resulted in the capture of two Naxalites, K Tiwari, a resident of Palamu district, and M Ansari, a resident of Lohardaga Kisko.
Several mobile phones and SIM cards, including those used in the levy collection, were seized during the raid.
Both detainees have a criminal history and FIRs have been registered against them in Lohardaga and Latehar districts under the Arms Act, 17 CLA Act, and for the operation of a Naxalite organization.
In a press conference, SDPO Vashishtha Narayan Singh stated that these arrests have put a stop to the obstruction of development works and the spreading fear among the working people.
