Manipur Violence Sparks Effigy Burning of PM Modi in Jamshedpur

Protests erupt in Jamshedpur against Modi and Manipur CM over continued women atrocities in Manipur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Protesters from the District Congress and District JMM in Jamshedpur manifested their anger against the ongoing violence against women in Manipur state.

They set ablaze effigies of Prime Minister Modi and the Chief Minister of Manipur at the Sakchi roundabout.

They stated that violence has persisted in Manipur for nearly two months, and yet the state government has made no attempts to curb it.

Women continue to endure open torture and murder, and the state and central governments remain silent.

This lack of action has ignited protests and effigy burning by JMM and District Congress.
