Red Cross East Singhbhum Secretary Honored at Rashtrapati Bhavan

East Singhbhum’s Red Cross Society Secretary, Bijay Kumar Singh, recognized for his stellar efforts in humanitarian work at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

JAMSHEDPUR – At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Award of Merit Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Bijay Kumar Singh, secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) East Singhbhum chapter, was given due recognition for his exceptional service.

He was honored in the presence of esteemed attendees including the Health Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who also chairs the IRCS, along with representatives from state Red Cross branches including C P Radhakrishnan of Jharkhand and Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar from Bihar, and thirteen governors from different states.

Singh’s leadership in the East Singhbhum chapter’s humanitarian activities garnered praise from Jharkhand State IRCS chair, Governor C P Radhakrishnan.

He highlighted Singh’s role as the Nodal Officer for the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign) implementation in the state, and his contribution towards ensuring transparency in this significant initiative.

Singh expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that it not only honored East Singhbhum district, but was a tribute to all those in Jharkhand who contributed to the Red Cross Society’s mission of alleviating human suffering.

The ceremony also saw the presence of other IRCS office holders including Asutosh Pariik, the Treasurer of the East Singhbhum section, and a delegation from the Deoghar Red Cross Society.
