State-of-the-Art Burmamines Police Station Inaugurated in Jamshedpur

The newly constructed Burmamines police station, built with modern amenities, opens to the public, enhancing police services in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur’s Burmamines police station has moved to its newly constructed building. The upgraded police station complex, fitted with advanced facilities, was inaugurated by East Singhbhum district’s SSP Prabhat Kumar, and is now open to the public.

The Inauguration

The newly constructed Burmamines police station, built on land acquired by Tata Steel at a cost of 2 crore 45 lakhs, is now operational. SSP Prabhat Kumar of the district inaugurated the new facility by cutting the ribbon and breaking a coconut.

The ceremony was attended by senior police officers of the district, station in-charge, DFO, and nearby dignitaries.

Advanced Facilities

The modernized Burmamines police station has been fitted with several facilities designed to enhance its functionality and ease of operation.

It includes a computer room, an inspection room, and accommodations for senior officials.

In addition, it provides appropriate arrangements for the stay of Quick Reaction Team (QRT) jawans, and both women and men police officers, ensuring comfortable working conditions.

Phased Transition

SSP Prabhat Kumar informed that operations will continue in both the old and new police stations for the time being. After a period of 15 days, all operations of the Burmamines police station will be fully shifted to the new building.

Future Plans

SSP Prabhat Kumar also mentioned that the Dumaria police station in the rural area would soon be relocated to a new building due to its dilapidated condition.

He added that efforts are underway to move other run-down police stations to new buildings to enhance their operational efficiency.
