Protest Outside Kowali Police Station Over Child’s Death

Family Demands Justice for 8-Year-Old Boy Killed by Tractor

Residents protest at Kowali police station in Jamshedpur, seeking justice for the death of 8-year-old Shivraj Mandal after a tractor accident.

JAMSHEDPUR – Demonstrations erupted outside Kowali police station as locals and family members demanded action against those responsible for the death of 8-year-old Shivraj Mandal.

The tragic incident occurred in the Kowali police station area of Potka block, East Singhbhum district.

Shivraj was fatally injured after being hit by a tractor while watching construction work near his home.

The tractor’s rear part struck a toilet wall, leading to his death despite immediate medical attention.

Tensions soared as the family sought justice for their son.

Police station in-charge Dhananjay Kumar Paswan assured the family that an FIR had been filed and investigations were underway.

However, Shivraj’s father, Vidhan Mandal, expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the tractor involved had not been recovered and no arrests had been made.

"The lack of tangible action has only strengthened our resolve to continue the protest until justice is served," Vidhan Mandal said.

The family and community are determined to see those responsible held accountable.

The protest highlighted the community’s demand for prompt and effective police action.

Residents voiced their frustration over the handling of the case, calling for swift justice for Shivraj.
