Jharkhand Expected to Receive Two-Day Rainfall due to Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal

Meteorological department forecasts rain for Jharkhand due to low pressure in Bay of Bengal; good for agriculture but precaution against lightning and thunder advised.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Meteorological Department has alerted for a two-day spell of excellent rain in Jharkhand.

A low-pressure area that has developed in the Bay of Bengal’s north and north-western region is said to be the cause of this upcoming weather pattern.

Dr. Abhishek Anand, a meteorologist, reports that this low pressure has resulted in the resumption of the monsoon activity.

As a consequence, he predicts abundant rainfall in central and southern Jharkhand, with a chance of heavy rain in certain areas.

These areas include East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum, Khunti, Simdega, and Gumla.

Dr. Anand suggests that the current monsoon rains are beneficial for agriculture.

Looking forward, he forecasts that a new cyclonic circulation is likely to develop in the Bay of Bengal on July 18.

This would result in strong monsoon rainfall in Jharkhand.

Despite the strength of these downpours possibly being moderate, Dr. Anand urges residents to take precautionary measures against lightning and thunder.

In related news, Jamshedpur’s temperature has seen a dip below average due to the rain and is expected to remain low for the next few weeks.
