Jalabhishek Yatra Set for August by Surya Mandir Committee in Jamshedpur

Jalabhishek Yatra, a grand event organized by the Sun Temple Committee, will see thousands of Shiva devotees in August.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Surya Mandir Committee has started preparations for a mass Jalabhishek Yatra slated for the third Monday of August.

An essential meeting took place at the Sun Temple complex in Sidhgoda on Saturday to discuss the event’s details.

Surya Mandir Committee President Bhupendra Singh led the meeting, focusing on making the upcoming Jalabhishek Yatra a grand success.

Raghubar Das, the former Chief Minister of the state and chief patron of the Sun Temple Committee, graced the meeting.

The gathering saw attendees from across the East Assembly constituency, including representatives from Baridih, Birsanagar, and Sakchi police station areas.

On August 21, Shiva devotees will assemble at Baridih Hari Mandir ground at 7 a.m.

From there, devotees will journey on foot to the Sun Temple, carrying water vessels for performing Jalabhishek, a ritual offering to Baba Bholenath, at the pagoda.

Following the ritual, Prasad will be distributed among the devotees.

The Temple committee plans to enhance the devotional atmosphere with hymns and songs dedicated to Bholenath.

The meeting was attended by several committee members, including Laxmikant Singh, Rakesh Singh, Vice President Amarjit Singh Raja, Santosh Yadav, Shailesh Gupta, Shashikant Singh, General Secretary Akhilesh Chaudhary, Minister Ruby Jha, Bunty Agarwal, Kanchan Dutta, Krishna Mohan Singh, Treasurer Adhendu Banerjee, Media in-charge Prem Jha, and co-media in-charge Pramod Mishra.
