Elderly Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Incident on NH-33, Jamshedpur

A road accident on NH-33 resulted in the death of an elderly woman who was hit by an unknown vehicle.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident that unfolded in the Chandil police station area, next to Pardih Chowk, Jamshedpur, an elderly woman was killed by a hit-and-run accident on NH-33. The woman died instantly after being struck by an unknown vehicle.

Upon receiving the report of the accident, a PCR van from Azadnagar police station along with Mango police arrived at the scene.

However, it was determined that the location of the incident fell under the jurisdiction of the Chandil police station, and the local officials were promptly notified.

According to police sources, an ambulance has been called to transport the deceased for a postmortem examination.

Local residents who witnessed the incident revealed that the elderly woman was known to live by begging around Pardih Chowk and would often be seen wandering in the area. She was reportedly crossing NH-33 in front of the Hotel City Inn when she was hit by the unidentified vehicle.

The local police are currently conducting further investigations into the matter.
