Seraikela – Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, staged a sit-in protest against the Hemant Soren-led government following the arrest of BJP leaders in Jamshedpur.

The demonstration was held on Friday at the Durga Puja ground near the Seraikela subdivision office, demanding the immediate release of the arrested BJP workers and members of a Hinduist organization in Jamshedpur.

Addressing the sit-in demonstration organized by the BJP District Committee, Marandi called for a thorough investigation of the entire episode by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or a High Court judge.

He further demanded the release of all arrested individuals, including BJP leader Abhay Singh.

He alleged that the government was unfairly targeting innocent people while appeasing certain groups.

The former Chief Minister added that Hindu festivals like Ram Navami, Durga Puja, Holi, and Saraswati Puja are being curtailed under the Hemant Soren administration, and that the BJP would not stand for this.

Former State President Dr. Dineshanand Goswami warned that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress risked losing support if they continued to disregard Hindu sentiments.

He reassured those affected by the Jamshedpur incident that justice would be served.

Other BJP leaders, including Seraikela BJP district president Vijay Mahto, JB Tubid, Ramesh Hansda, Uday Singh Dev, Manoj Kumar Chowdhary, also addressed the protest demonstration.
