Jamshedpur: The people of Jamshedpur East assembly constituency have been gifted two big schemes which would be implemented through the MLA fund.
Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai and Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato laid the foundation stone for the beautification of Birsanagar Hill on Saturday.
Both the schemes will be completed by the Urban Development and Housing Department.
On this occasion, MLA Saryu Rai said that the traditional Deshawali Puja is performed by the tribal community over the hill and therefore the scheme would ensure beautification of the site.
Apart from this, he added, keeping the needs of the people, the beautification work will be done in other places under various welfare and development schemes.
Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also talked about iniaitives to develop different areas of the city.
Asked to comment on the incident relating to self-immolation bid by a class IX student of Shardamani School after she was allegedly disrobed in the name of invigilation, Saryu Roy said that the police is doing its job.
He hoped that strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation.
