Super singer KK dies at 53 soon after concert in Kolkata

None else will sing like he sang: “Tu hi meri Shab hai”

Desk: KK, one of the most popular singers of India, died Tuesday, soon after giving a performance in Kolkata. He was 53.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled his demise. In a remark he said: “His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans.”

According to information received from Kolkata, he did a show at Nazrul Mancha and then went back to his hotel where he was staying. He felt unwell and was rushed to a hospital. However, he died on the way and was declared dead.

KK was known as a prolific singer. His first album was Pal. It released in way back in 1999.

His real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath, but was popularly known as KK.

His fans were shocked after hearing the sad news of his demise. Condolences were pouring on Twitter from his fans.

He has sung thousands of songs in different languages. In Hindi, some of his popular songs include Dil Ibaadat, Ankhon Mein Teri, Tune Maari Entriyaan, Tu hi meri Shab hai.
