Jamshedpur: Unidentified criminals shot at and injured the owner of Chandra Jewellers in Uliyan under the jurisdiction of Kadma police station Saturday. The owner of Chandra jewellers, Ganesh Chandra, was rushed to TMH in a serious condition by the locals. He is under treatment now.
The City SP Subhas Chandra Jat and other senior police officials too rushed to TMH and are investigating the case.
The City SP Subhash Chandra Jat said that Ganesh, the owner of Chanda Jewellers had shuttered his shop and was going home when unidentified persons fired at him from behind. Ganesh has been shot in the stomach and is being treated in TMH.
He said that Ganesh is out of danger now.
The City SP said that the police team has reached the site of occurrence and is investigating the case.
He expressed hope that all the facts would be unravelled and the culprits would soon be sent behind the bar.
