3 rounds fired at supplier’s Fortune Car in Shashtri Nagar Block 4

Jamshedpur: Unidentified criminals fired at least 3 rounds at the residence of Tata Steel supplier Rishikesh Chandra in Shashtri Nagar Block No. 5 with a motive to intimidate him. The criminals managed to escape after firing bullets. However, the incident has been captured by the CCTV camera and the police are investigating the case.

The ASI of Kadma police station said that the bullet was aimed at the Fortune Car parked in th4e house. The police have found a used cartridge from the car. A ‘threat letter’ was also found at the place.

The incident caused quite a sensation in the area. More than the firing, the threat-letter was being discussed widely.

Top police officers have started probing the incident.

Rishikesh Chandra expressed apprehensions that the local criminals might have had a hand in this. He said that they want to intimidate him and force him to pay rangadaari.

The police are investigating the matter. It has not reached any conclusion yet.
