Sanjiv Choudhary new President of Tata Workers’ Union, Satish Singh new General Secretary

Jamshedpur: Sanjiv Choudhary alias Tunnu has been elected as the president of Tata Workers’ Union. Satish Singh is the new general secretary of the union.

Tunnu’s and Satish Singh’s election to the top posts in union was cheered by their supporters. They celebrated his victory by bursting crackers. TWU premises remained crowded whole day.

The historic win for the leaders of opposition camp in Tata Workers’ Union caused a spate of celebration among the union members supporting Sanjiv Choudhary.

Soon after the announcement of the new president’s name, the committee members garlanded the office-bearers.

Sanjiv Choudhary has been election as the 12th president of Tata Workers’ Union by winning in 2021 union elections.

Sanjiv Choudhary defeated his rival Arvind Pandey. Arvind Pandey could bag only 43 votes, while Sanjiv Choudhary bagged 171 votes.

Sanjiv Choudhary won for the TWU president’s post by 128 votes.

128 out of 214 committee members elected Sanjiv Choudhary as the union president.

On the other hand, Satish Singh has been elected as the general secretary of the union. He has been elected second time as the general secretary of the union by routing his rival R K Singh.
