Friday ends as 31st day of no corona death in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Friday passed off as the 31st day of nil coronavirus death in East Singhbhum district, even while the state of Jharkhand saw 2 deaths being caused in Jharkhand. The total death toll for the city remains at 374 at the end of Friday.

According to official data, till date 4,84,162 samples have been tested in the district. Out of these, 17,738 samples have tested positive, while 4,66,424 samples have tested negative.

On Friday, 17 more cases of coronavirus infection were detected in East Singhbhum district. With this, the total number of infections have reached 17,738. On the other hand, 22 patients were also cured and discharged taking the total number of cured patients in the district to 17,199.

For now, East Singhbhum district has only 165 active cases of coronavirus.

Till Friday, the recovery rate in East Singhbhum district had inched up to 97.1%, while the mortality rate remains at 2.1%. The positivity rate for the district is 3.7%.
