No corona death in Jamshedpur on Saturday, total deaths 370

43 fresh cases, 31 cured, mortality 2.2%, recovery rate 97%, positivity rate 4.6%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has once again relented and spared the city on Saturday claiming no life on Saturday. The total death toll in the city due to coronavirus remains at 370.

According to official data, 43 fresh coronavirus infection cases were detected in the district on Saturday. With this, the total number of infections in East Singhbhum has now reached 16,756.

On the other hand, 31 patients were also cured and discharged in the district taking the total number of recovered patients to 16,155 till Saturday.

For now, the district has 231 active cases of coronavirus infections. There has been a sharp decline in the number of active cases in the district lately.

As per official data, the district has tested 3,66,037 samples till Saturday evening. Out of these, 16,756 samples have tested positive, while 3,49,281 samples have tested negative.

The recovery rate for East Singhbhum district, till Saturday, has been at 97%, while the mortality rate is at 2.2%. The positivity rate has come down a little to 4.6%.

The district administration has launched an intensive checking and mass testing drive in the district to prevent further spread of the virus in the district.
