1 corona death in Jharkhand on Friday, total deaths 962

Recovery rate 97.12%, mortality rate 0.88%

Ranchi: The recovery rate of coronavirus patients in Jharkhand has reached 97.12%, while the mortality rate remains at 0.88%. Slight increase in the recovery rate and stability in mortality rate is a good piece of news for Jharkhand, despite the fact that the pandemic claimed 1 more life in the state on Friday.

With this, the total number of deaths in the state due to coronavirus pandemic has reached 962. The sole death was reported from East Singhbhum district, which remains the worst-affected district in the state.

According to official data, till Friday, the state has tested a total of 40,04,056 samples. Out of these, 1,08,577 samples have tested positive, while 1,05,453 patients have already recovered. For now, the state has only 2,162 active cases of coronavirus infection.

On Friday itself, 189 new cases were detected, 195 patients were cured, while 1 person in East Singhbhum district has reportedly died of the virus.
