Bagbera couple attempts suicide due to financial misery and loan trap

Both in serious condition in MGMCH

Jamshedpur: A couple of Bagbera allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. They were rescued at the last moment and admitted MGMCH by their son. Both are still in a serious condition in MGMCH.

According to information received, the family was going through immense financial hardships. Although they had a young son, but he has lost his job due to lockdown.

The family had also taken loans and the couple were under pressure to repay the loans.

Sources say that trapped in a financial penury and helplessness, the couple allegedly consumed an insecticide.

However, their son noticed something amiss seeing the door shut and he broke the door open with the help of neighbours. On finding both his parents in a unconscious state, he rushed them to MGMCH Hospital.

The condition of both husband and wife is stated to be serious.
