Ex-DGP DK Pandey booked for demanding dowry

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand DGP DK Pandey, his wife and son were booked for dowry harassment on Saturday, sources said.

Sources said the FIR was lodged at Ranchi Mahila Thana on the complaint of Rekha Mishra, daughter-in-law of the ex-DGP.

In her complaint, Rekha Mishra accused DK Pandey, his wife Poonam Pandey and her husband Shubhankar Pandey of torturing her for dowry.

She said the situation became so unbearable for her that she also once tried to end it all, sources said.

Rekha Mishra got married to Shubhankar Pandey on 15th February 2016 when DK Pandey was the DGP of Jharkhand. She is the daughter of BJP leader from Dhanbad, Ganesh Mishra.
