Contract Worker’s Death at Tatanagar Station Sparks Inquiry

34-year-old Shankar Kumar, a contract laborer, was found dead on Tatanagar station railway tracks, raising questions and prompting a police investigation.

JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic event unfolded at Tatanagar station as the body of a young man was recovered from railway track number 7, near the parcel gate. Identified as 34-year-old Shankar Kumar, the deceased was a contract laborer with MECON Limited Company in Ranchi. Kumar, originally from Vaishali, Bihar, is believed to have committed suicide by jumping in front of a goods train.

The reasons for his alleged suicide are yet to be determined. Railway police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, but have not yet made any official statements regarding the cause of death or the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
