Kunal Sarangi urges Chief Secy to change school timing in view of scorching heat

Jamshedpur: The former MLA Kunal Sarangi, who is also the BJP Jharkhand State Spokesperson, spoke to the Chief Secretary of the state, Sukhdev Singh and urged him to change the school timings in view of the scorching heat in most of the areas in Jharkhand.

He also apprised the Chief Secretary with the problems being faced by the children and their parents due to the excessive heat.

He requested that the school timings be changed from 6:30 am to a maximum of 11 am, taking into account the rising heat in the state.

The scorching heat has been causing problems for parents and school children in the entire state, including Jamshedpur.

With temperatures rising to 41 degrees Celsius in the East Singhbhum district on Thursday, the demand for a change in school timings has gathered strength.

The children are facing the most trouble, especially while returning home in the afternoon sun.

Kunal Sarangi also shared a shocking incident that occurred on Thursday, where a Class III student of Adarsh Middle School, Dhalbhumgarh, started bleeding from the nose due to the rising heat and temperature.

He emphasized the need to open schools for children while also taking care of their health.

Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh has assured him that he will take proper cognizance of the matter and take necessary action to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

Even most of the parents in the city are echoing the sentiment and feel that the school timings should be changed as the temperature is expected to rise further in the next five days.

Parents say that it is essential to take necessary measures to avoid any health hazards caused by the excessive heat.
