Jamshedpur: The court has given a death sentence to Deepak Kumar, the convict of the sensational quadruple murder case of Kadma, in which four persons were killed on April 12 2021.

The deceased included Bina Kumari, his wife, Diya Kumari and Sandhi Kumari, his daughters and Rinki Ghosh, the tuition teacher. The incident occurred in the Quarter No. 97/99 on Teesta Road under the jurisdiction of Kadma police station.

In this tragic incident that shook the residents of Teesta Road area under Kadma police station in Jamshedpur, the convict of this case Deepak Kumar had killed his wife, two daughters, and their tuition teacher on April 12, 2021.

In this case that has been in the news for the past year, the court has finally awarded the death sentence to the convict Deepak Kumar.

During the hearing on Thursday, the court of ADJ 4 Rajendra Kumar Sinha sentenced Deepak to death.

Earlier on Saturday, the court found him guilty under sections 302, 307, 379, 201 and 376 (1) of the IPC.

The prosecution team, consisting of advocates Jolly Das, Kartik Dey, Harvilas Das, Dilip Gorai and Jayant Kumar, presented a strong case with the testimony of 25 witnesses.

The Additional Public Prosecutor Rajeev Kumar also appeared on behalf of the prosecution. After committing the murders, Deepak had allegedly fled to Rourkela with his weapon, from where he booked a cab and went to Dhanbad.

However, the police arrested him from Dhanbad, and he was subsequently charged with the heinous crime.

The incident had left the local community in a state of shock and horror.

Deepak had not only killed his wife and daughters but had also raped the tuition teacher before murdering her.

He had also attacked his partner Prabhu’s brother-in-law Ankit after the incident.

The awarding of the death sentence to Deepak Kumar has brought some closure to the family and the local community, who had been waiting for justice for a long time.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of strong laws and efficient law enforcement in ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
