People throng Banna Gupta’s janata darbar in Jamshedpur

Banna Gupta said that whatever the public wants will be done on the issue of language dispute. The regional party may have its own views, but the Congress talks of Indianness. His stand on the language dispute still stands today.

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand health minister Banna Gupta today held a janata darbar in Jamshedpur and heard plaints of his constituents. Janata darbar was held at the instruction of party state in-charge.

During the janata darbar he listened to the grievances of a large number of people who approached him. In most of the cases, he instructed the officials to resolve the issue.

The minister said that on the instructions of the state in-charge, all the Congress ministers have been asked to solve the problems of the people by holding janata darbars.

Asked about the language controversy, he said that he remains firm on his earlier stand.

He said that there is a government of the people in the state and whatever the people want will happen.

He said that a regional party may have its own views, but the Congress talks of Indianness. His stand on the language dispute still stands today, he said.

At the same time, while expressing concern over the rise in crime in Jamshedpur city in the recent days, the minister assured that the Chief Minister has been informed about this.

He said that very soon criminals will be rounded up in Jamshedpur and people will be able to live peacefully in the city.

He said that according to the promises made to the public, the government is committed to resolve people’s grievances.
