Jharkhand Braces For Rain, Temperature Drop Across State

Isolated rainfall expected in several districts; Kolhan region to remain dry over next two days

Varied weather conditions are expected across Jharkhand with rainfall in multiple districts and temperatures ranging from 17°C to 32°C.

RANCHI – Jharkhand is experiencing varied weather conditions with a low pressure area persisting over northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and the neighborhood.

The low pressure system has an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.

The system is likely to move north-northeastwards and become less marked within the next 24 hours.

Wind speeds reached 80.2 mm in Ranchi during the past 24 hours ending at 08:30 hours IST on November 1, 2025.

The highest maximum temperature recorded was 32.9°C at Chaibasa.

The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 18.3°C at Chaibasa.

East Singhbhum recorded a maximum temperature of 32°C and a minimum of 21°C on November 1, 2025.

West Singhbhum recorded a maximum temperature of 31°C and a minimum of 21°C on the same day.

Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 27°C and a minimum of 20°C on November 1, 2025.

Dhanbad recorded a maximum temperature of 29°C and a minimum of 21°C on November 1, 2025.

Bokaro recorded a maximum temperature of 29°C and a minimum of 22°C on November 1, 2025.

Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 29.2°C and a minimum of 22.6°C with rainfall of 2.8 mm.

The relative humidity in Jamshedpur was 92% at 08:30 hours on November 1, 2025.

Rainfall Expected In Multiple Districts

Isolated rain is expected in several districts of Jharkhand on November 1, 2025.

Districts including Godda, Sahibganj, Pakur, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, Giridh, Koderma, Chatra, Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Hazaribag, Ranchi, Dhanbad, and Bokaro are likely to receive isolated rainfall.

The rainfall percentage in these areas is predicted to be 25% or less.

Kolhan region districts including East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela Kharsawan, Simdega, Gumla, and Khunti are expected to remain dry with no rainfall forecast.

Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 32.1°C and a minimum of 23.4°C with rainfall of 0.6 mm.

Kolkata recorded a maximum temperature of 32.1°C and a minimum of 21.3°C.

Temperature Outlook

No large change in maximum temperature of 2°C to 4°C is expected at isolated places over Jharkhand.

Minimum temperatures are expected to remain normal at few places and below normal at isolated places over Jharkhand.

Dry weather is expected in Kolhan, Santhal Pargana, and parts of Central Jharkhand on November 2, 2025.
