JAMSHEDPUR – In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit on September 15, footpath vendors near Tatanagar railway station have been removed.

The eviction, overseen by railway officials and local BJP leaders, is part of security measures for the visit.

Vendors, who have been operating for years, expressed their frustration over the sudden removal of their stalls.

PM Modi is scheduled to flag off the Vande Bharat train from Tatanagar station and later hold a public rally at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.

To prevent traffic congestion and ensure security during the visit, authorities decided to clear the area of street vendors.

The decision has sparked discontent among the vendors, who feel they were unfairly displaced after years of business at the location.
