Jamshedpur: The local council of CPI today took out a rally against price rise and unemployment. The demonstrators said that the government was unable to control inflation and the steep rise in cost of living.
The rally reached the district headquarters and a demonstration was also held there. The CPI members and supporters raised slogans against the central government.
A party delegation also submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor through the DC Office.
The party warned that it would resort to phased agitation if the center does not control the price rise.
The demonstrators also opposed the Agnipath Scheme of the center and said that this would only add to the unemployment issue.
