JNAC team fines building Rs 10,000 after larvae discovery in Kadma basement

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) fined a Kadma building Rs 10,000 after discovering dengue larvae during a surprise inspection.
Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has ordered increased inspections and fines for locations harboring dengue larvae.
A JNAC team, led by Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar, conducted a surprise inspection in response to the directive.
The team discovered dengue larvae in the basement of a building in Kadma.
As a consequence, a fine of Rs 10,000 was imposed on the building.
Following the fine, anti-larvae spraying operations were carried out at the site.
The building management received a stern warning that more severe actions would follow if larvae were found again in future inspections.
This crackdown is part of the city’s efforts to curb the rising dengue outbreak.
The inspection and subsequent fine demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to preventing the spread of dengue in Jamshedpur.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and eliminate potential breeding sites for mosquitoes on their properties.
