Traffic Nightmare Grips Mango Bridge Area for Over 5 Hours

Ambulances trapped, students delayed as gridlock paralyzes key routes in Jamshedpur

Severe congestion in Jamshedpur’s Mango Bridge area exposes critical flaws in local traffic management systems.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Mango Bridge area of Jamshedpur was paralyzed by an enormous traffic jam on Thursday, which caused widespread disruption and lasted from 10:30 AM to 6 PM.

The congestion had an impact on numerous critical routes, such as the Bus Stand roundabout, Old Purulia Road, Mango roundabout, and Dimna Road.

Commuters were left stranded in oppressive heat for hours as vehicles crawled at an agonizingly sluggish pace.

Five ambulances were ensnared in the congestion, which raised significant concerns regarding the accessibility of emergency services during such crises.

Schoolchildren experienced substantial delays, arriving home at approximately 3:30 PM as opposed to their customary 2:30 PM return time.

Restlessness was reported by numerous pupils as a result of prolonged exposure to heat and a lack of water.

Parents expressed their dissatisfaction with the delays and the additional stress that their families were experiencing.

The presence of traffic police at various locations was mainly ineffective in managing and clearing the congestion.

The police were accused by commuters of prioritizing helmet enforcement over the fundamental issue of traffic flow.

The public’s frustration was exacerbated by the inability to reach the Traffic Deputy Superintendent for comment.

The traffic congestion for an extended period underscored the city’s inadequate traffic infrastructure and management systems.

The efficacy of the current traffic control measures in Jamshedpur has been the subject of a significant debate as a result of this incident.
