JAMSHEDPUR – In a heartfelt tribute to Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the Sikh community in Jamshedpur, with the support of Ravi Transport and social worker Chanchal Bhatia, hosted a Chhabil on National Highway 33.

The ceremony began with a prayer session (Ardaas), followed by the distribution of cool drinks and snacks to travelers and truck drivers enduring the intense heat.

This effort provided much-needed refreshment and a sense of spiritual reflection as sacred hymns filled the air.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji, who compiled the Adi Granth and endured martyrdom on the orders of Mughal Emperor Jahangir, is remembered for his unwavering faith despite severe torture.

Key supporters such as Ravinder Singh, Manjot Singh, Sukhraj Singh, Chand Singh Vilkhu, Manmeet Kaur, Amardeep Kaur, and Baby Kaur were instrumental in making the event successful.

"This Chhabil is about more than just physical refreshment," said Chanchal Bhatia.

"It is a reminder of the spiritual strength and sacrifices made by our Gurus. We aim to continue the legacy of Guru Arjan Dev Ji through acts of service and devotion."

The community’s dedication to organizing the Chhabil on NH 33 showcases their commitment to honoring Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s teachings and their collective effort to remember his legacy through selfless service and unity.
