Chhabil Organized in Sakchi to Commemorate Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s Martyrdom Anniversary

Community leaders and dignitaries, including outgoing BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, gathered to honor the fifth Sikh Guru’s sacrifice at Sakchi Mahiwal Travels Chowk.

The event saw significant participation from dignitaries and community members, including outgoing BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, who joined others in serving the Sangat.

JAMSHEDPUR – To commemorate the 418th martyrdom anniversary of the fifth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, a Chhabil was arranged at Sakchi Mahiwal Travels Chowk with the support of the Jharkhand Sikh Vikas Manch.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries and community members. Among them was outgoing BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, who enthusiastically joined others in serving the Sangat.

Mahto emphasized the Sikh community’s deep-rooted history of selflessness, finding inspiration in their unwavering dedication to India’s freedom struggle.

He recognized the valuable contributions of the Sikh community to national security and conveyed the nation’s deep appreciation for their unwavering commitment.

Many important individuals attended the event, including Inderjit Singh, General Secretary of Takht Shri HariMandir Ji Patna Sahib Management Committee; Gurdeep Singh Pappu, Central Founder and Patron of CGPC; President Daljit Singh; Metropolitan President Sudhanshu Ojha; Former President Vinod Singh; Retired DSP Birendra Yadav; Builder Surendra Pal Singh Titu; Sakchi Police Station Incharge Sanjay Kumar; Advocate Malkit Singh Saini; Mango Gurudwara Committee Trustee Sweety Bhatia; Central Sikh Youth Sabha President Amrik Singh; Former Sakchi President Harvinder Singh Mantu; Former Cashier Ajit Singh Gambhir; General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale, and other prominent community leaders.

Hazuri Granthi Baba Jaswant Singh from Shaheed The prayers at Baba Deep Singh Gurdwara Sahib were led with a heartfelt intention for the well-being of all living beings. During the prayers, the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji was solemnly recounted.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji met a tragic fate on the banks of the Ravi River in Lahore on May 30, 1606, as a result of the orders given by Mughal Emperor Jahangir.

The event showcased the lasting impact of Guru Arjan Dev Ji and the Sikh community’s dedication to serving others and making sacrifices.
