Party Demands CBI Probe, Withdrawal Of Cases Against Students

RAMGARH – The Bharatiya Janata Party staged a strong demonstration in Ramgarh on Friday over alleged irregularities in JSSC and JPC examinations. However, the party’s central demand focused on a CBI investigation into the matter.
BJP’s Ramgarh district unit organized the protest near the DC and SP offices. District president Sanjeev Kumar Bawala led the demonstration.
Former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda attended the protest. Meanwhile, Barkagaon MLA Roshan Lal Chaudhary and several other BJP leaders and workers also joined.
Koda leveled serious allegations against the Jharkhand government and Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He demanded an impartial investigation into matters linked to JSSC and JPC.
Besides seeking a probe, Koda also demanded withdrawal of cases filed against agitating students. He said justice must be ensured for the students.
Koda warned that BJP would intensify its agitation if the students’ demands were not addressed. He said the party would escalate the movement from the streets to the legislature.
In addition, BJP leaders demanded the government conduct a fair investigation into the entire matter. They also sought immediate withdrawal of cases registered against the students.
Koda later submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner. The memorandum outlined the party’s demands regarding the probe and the cases.
The Ramgarh protest adds to sustained pressure over the JPSC-JSSC recruitment row across the state. Students had earlier concluded a 24-district reform yatra in Ranchi demanding transparent examinations, led by student leader Devendranath Mahto.
Investigators, meanwhile, have pursued their own probe into the alleged scam. A CID team recently detained two youths in Koderma in connection with the JSSC CGL case, while an earlier interrogation uncovered a 16-member syndicate.
Other BJP leaders have separately pressed the issue elsewhere. Raghubar Das led a similar protest in Jamshedpur, while the party has also formally demanded a CBI probe into the recruitment scam. The Jharkhand High Court has separately directed the government to complete pending JPSC appointments within two months.
