Students Present Cultural Tribute to Rabindranath Tagore

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur witnessed vibrant performances during Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary celebrations at DBMS College of Education.

The Cultural Club organised the ‘Jeevan Gatha’ programme at the college auditorium. Meanwhile, chief guest Dr. Bharti Singh inaugurated the event with dignitaries.

College secretary Shripriya Dharamrajan attended the programme. Moreover, co-secretary Sudha Dilip also remained present during the ceremony.

Principal Dr. Juhi Samarpita joined the inauguration event. Meanwhile, vice-principal Dr. Monica Uppal participated in the lamp-lighting ritual.

B.Ed students presented several cultural performances during the programme. Moreover, performances highlighted Tagore’s literary and artistic legacy.

Students Aoyna Sen, Deepika Medina, Tanushree Saha and Arpita Paul performed ‘Jokhon Porbe Na Mor’. Meanwhile, Ishika and Swastik Bhattacharya joined the presentation.

A group dance based on Tagore’s childhood-themed song followed later. Moreover, the audience applauded the energetic performance.

Trisha Sarkar and Shaumini Das performed classical and creative dances. Meanwhile, attendees praised their graceful stage presentations.

Artika, Khushboo, Mariam, Ayesha and Mercy David participated actively. Moreover, Sunitha Malto also joined the cultural celebration.

Akanksha and her team presented the ‘Gehana Kusum Bhav’ dance performance. Meanwhile, the programme continued with musical presentations.

Chief guest Dr. Bharti Singh discussed Tagore’s educational philosophy during her address. Moreover, she said artistic integration remains essential in education.

She stated Tagore valued music, literature and visual arts equally. Meanwhile, she noted education remains incomplete without artistic harmony.

Principal Dr. Juhi Samarpita highlighted Tagore’s contributions to literature and education. Moreover, she described him as a lyricist, painter and philosopher.

She said Tagore enriched the literary world through his writings. Meanwhile, she added his legacy continues inspiring generations.

Moumita Mondal conducted the programme at the auditorium. Moreover, Nikita Tirkey delivered the vote of thanks.

Music teacher Amrita Choudhary supervised the complete cultural programme. Meanwhile, all teachers and staff members attended the event.

The programme concluded with the singing of Vande Mataram. Moreover, students and faculty members participated together in the finale.
