Students from KG II to Std. XII Showcase Oratory Skills Across Multiple Categories

JAMSHEDPUR – DBMS English School organized its Annual English Elocution Contest on November 11, 2025, featuring students from kindergarten to senior secondary levels.
The event showcased recitation, elocution, prose, and declamation performances. Students presented poems, prose pieces, and speeches. The contest emphasized effective communication and public speaking skills.
Three judges evaluated the performances. Parvinder Bhatia, Jamshedpur Bureau Head of The Pioneer, served on the panel. Siddhartha Sen, a Cost Accountant and dramatics enthusiast, also judged. Rituparna Chattoraj, Head of English Department at Jusco School Kadma, completed the panel.
The judges praised participants for their impressive displays. They offered insights into public speaking nuances. The annual elocution contest featured five distinct age categories.
In the KG II and Std. I group, Std. I B won. Std. II E secured the runner-up position. The Std. II and III category saw Std. III D emerge victorious.
Std. II D finished as runners-up. For Std. IV and V, Sunidhi Chouhan claimed first place. Shashwati Das became the first runner-up.
Laavya Jawanpuria secured second runner-up honors. Shreenika Chandra received an encouragement memento. The Std. VI to VIII category featured strong competition.
Amantrita Paul won first place. Raviksha Mishra finished as first runner-up. Adriza Banerjee claimed second runner-up position.
Four students received encouragement mementos: Aqsa Sarosh, Inaya Malhotra, Aadrik Ganguly, and Rishabh. In the Std. IX and X group, Shreyash Kumar topped the category. Aditi Kar secured first runner-up position.
Khushi Maheshwari became second runner-up. Avneet Kaur Dogra received an encouragement award. The senior-most category featured Std. XI and XII students.
Rishit secured the championship position. Abhishek Pathak finished as first runner-up. Deonita Mahato claimed second runner-up honors.
Jiggyasa Chatterjee received an encouragement memento. School management attended the prize distribution ceremony. Chairpersons B. Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar graced the occasion.
Secretary Archana Ramesh and Treasurer Lalitha Seshadri were present. Principal Rajani Shekhar and Vice-Principal P. K. Sahu congratulated winners. They encouraged students to nurture communication skills further.
The Hindi elocution contest is another major event at the school. Teachers and coordinators guided participants throughout the preparation. They ensured smooth conduct of the elocution competition.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participants. Moreover, the contest inspired young minds to embrace public speaking. The school has a strong tradition of organizing literary events.
